Dźwirzyno - beach, sand, water

Dźwirzyno is located in the central part of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship, about 10 km west from Kołobrzeg. The town is located on the Baltic Sea, on the shore of Lake Resko.

Dźwirzyno is a unique place on the Baltic Sea. A natural, wide and extremely sandy beach surrounded by a pine forest and dunes, bicycle routes, hiking and Nordic walking trails, Lake Resko with a modern marina and plenty of attractions for families with children.

Beach

Dźwirzyno is known for one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast and one of the cleanest sea bathing areas. The sun, the sound of sea waves and one of the most beautiful natural Polish beaches is a recipe for a successful holiday.

A wandering dune called "Patelnia"

In Dźwirzyno you can see a wandering dune called "Patelnia". It is located in a belt of pine forest, hidden between hills covered with vegetation. Its shape changes every year. It moves annually by about 2m in the north-eastern direction. It is a relic of the wandering dunes that dominated the landscape of this town centuries ago. It is worth seeing in all its glory from the observation deck, from which you can also see the sea. It can be reached by land and sea. It is a fragment of the coastal dunes that are part of the “Dunes” nature reserve between Dźwirzyno and Grzybowo, which protects the preservation of typical plant communities of the white dune and the gray dune.

Observation deck

The observation deck was built at the former descent to the beach from Spokojna Street in Dźwirzyno, which was destroyed by a storm a few years ago. The terrace is a great place for everyone who would like to breathe the sea air, but does not like sand in their shoes. It is also an ideal place for a walk, you can admire the sea or sunsets while sitting on a bench on the terrace, as well as for cyclists who would like to see the sea without leaving their bikes. The terrace is located near the bicycle path.

Fishing port

You can eat fresh fish here, as well as go on a trip on a tourist ship around the Baltic Sea. For the more daring tourists, fast motorboat cruises on the sea are offered, which is a real attraction.
